This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) governs the proper use of the Kiuwo platform (the “Service”), provided by Mea World S.r.l., and forms an integral part of the Service’s Terms and Conditions.
The Policy applies to all Users, regardless of their plan, including individual plans and the Organization Plan. Terms defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning here. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, the User declares that they have also read and accepted this Policy.
In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions prevail.
1) Purpose of the Service
Kiuwo is primarily designed to support personal, educational, training, creative and information organization activities, including through artificial intelligence features.
Professional, business or institutional uses are permitted within the scope of the features and plan subscribed to or any specific agreements entered into with Mea World S.r.l.
The User must use the Service in compliance with the law, third-party rights, the Terms and Conditions and the principles of fairness and good faith.
2) User responsibilities
The User is responsible for activities carried out through their Account and for Content uploaded, imported, generated, processed, shared or published through Kiuwo.
The User must ensure that they have the rights, permissions and any legal bases necessary to use such Content. In particular, they must not enter third parties’ personal data, confidential information or protected materials unless they are entitled to do so.
The Service is not intended for processing special categories of personal data or data relating to criminal convictions and offences. When uploading or using audio recordings, transcripts or content relating to other people, the User must inform those involved and have the necessary permissions or other legal grounds.
Kiuwo does not grant the User additional rights over third-party materials or make lawful a use that would otherwise be prohibited.
3) Prohibited uses
Kiuwo must not be used to:
-
carry out, facilitate or promote unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activities;
-

This list is illustrative and does not limit the application of prohibitions established by law and the Terms and Conditions.
4) Use of artificial intelligence features
Kiuwo’s AI features are support tools. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for the User’s specific purpose.
The User must verify outputs before using or sharing them and is responsible for their use. AI features must not be used to evade legal obligations, infringe third-party rights or as the sole basis for decisions that significantly affect other people or require professional assessments, without adequate human oversight.
5) Content and external sources
When Kiuwo allows files to be uploaded, links to be entered or materials from external services to be imported, transcribed, summarized or transformed, the User declares that they are authorized to use those materials for the requested purpose.
The technical availability of a feature does not imply that any content accessible online may be freely copied, downloaded, transformed or redistributed. The User must comply with applicable law, the rights of rights holders and, where relevant, the terms of the service from which the material originates.
Kiuwo may restrict or disable the processing of certain sources or Content where necessary for legal, technical or security reasons.
6) Protection of the Service and abnormal usage
The User must not use Kiuwo in a way that compromises the quality or availability of the Service for other Users or places an abnormal load on technical resources.
Mea World S.r.l. may apply reasonable limits on the frequency, size, duration, concurrency or complexity of operations where necessary to ensure the security, stability and continuity of the Service or compliance with the subscribed plan.
7) Checks and applicable measures
In the event of an established or reasonably suspected breach of this Policy, Mea World S.r.l. may take measures proportionate to the nature, severity and recurrence of the conduct, including:
